Pathway Academy's Vision
Pathway Academy's vision is to take the young minds of today’s youth and instill Christian values and academic knowledge that will allow them to become lifelong disciples of Christ. It is our duty and privilege as a group of believers to teach the following: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God”. Romans 12:2
Mission
Pathway Academy partners with the home and church to build a solid foundation in the life of each student – educating and inspiring students to fulfill their God-given purposes with confidence and passion.
Pathway Academy faculty and board members desire to lead children and young people to a life characterized by:
•a personal salvation experience
•the development of Christian character
•the gaining of wisdom through God's Word, the Bible
•the ability to become Christian leaders in the community
Traditional teaching methods, Biblical discipline, and excellence of content work together to produce students with outstanding character and sound educational preparation.
Quality Christian Instruction
Pathway Academy’s curriculum is based on the philosophy of Christian education which relates biblical truths to every area of learning. Faculty use a traditional approach to classroom teaching with a variety of carefully chosen textbooks and materials, including A Beka Book, Bob Jones, and Saxon.
Faculty and staff are carefully selected on the basis of children, parents, relatives, friends, and community. Knowing that the world view of the teacher gradually shapes the view of the pupil, Pathway Academy insists that teachers show evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and strive to develop their own Christian character. The goal is for all classroom teachers to hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree and to be certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia and/or ACSI.
